Matchbook

So yesterday I drank a lot of coffee, and while walking, wrote on a matchbook:

While garbage dumps fill, the insatiable emptiness of the individual remains unfilled.

I like where your head's at, A.G. Your penmanship is a little shaky though. But, my writing looks like something you might find on a cave wall, so I'm not going to say anything.

I never thought I would think about garbage in that way. But some individuals satisfy their emptiness with garbage in place of dreams they cannot procure.

See, here's the thing, that insatiable emptiness fills the holes of solitude and makes us want the things we need. It ignites the furnace of life and causes creation within us.

Anyway, garbage dumps smell bad.

Welcome to the blogosphere!

How could one actually fill emptiness?

Wow, that's some of the most indecipherable penmanship I've ever seen.

Then again, my insatiable emptiness seems to fill with alot of garbage at times (and I'll give you $1.50 for that genu-wine Alicia matchbook cuz that's all I got) :)

Critics of my penmanship: I was walking while writing on a matchbook!

Fair enough. I suppose I have little room to criticize, given my own difficulties in performing simple tasks whilst walking, like chewing gum, remembering state capitals, avoiding stepping in large piles of things, etc.

Matchbook writing ... a cool genre. Someone should do an anthology. John and Paul wrote "A Hard Day's Night" on a matchbook cover.

I went to a wedding reception this past weekend and one of the crappy momentos was a matchbook with the names of the bride and groom. I had no idea who they were, but the booze was free. Open bars rule, don't you agree A.G.?

Open bars are better than closed bars.
